Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern all services, bookings, payments, and engagements with Mwelase iLanga Energy (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our website, booking a service, or making payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
Services Offered
We provide, but are not limited to:
- Solar consultations (online and on-site)
- Solar system installation (labour and/or full system supply)
- Commercial, residential, and agricultural solar services
- Solar system cleaning and maintenance
- Related electrical and energy services
Specific service details, pricing, and inclusions are outlined on our website or individual quotations.
Quotations & Pricing
- All prices displayed are subject to site conditions and scope confirmation.
- Quotations are valid for a limited period unless otherwise stated.
- Installation-only pricing excludes solar panels, inverters, batteries, and equipment unless explicitly quoted.
- Final pricing may change if additional work is required after site assessment.
Payments
- Payment is required upfront for consultations, cleaning services, and call-outs.
- Installations may require a deposit before work commences.
- Payments are processed securely via PayFast, EFT, or other approved methods.
- All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR) unless stated otherwise.
Deposits
- Deposits secure bookings and allow work preparation to begin.
- Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced or materials have been ordered.
- If a project is cancelled before any work has started and no costs have been incurred, a partial refund may be considered at our discretion.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time may forfeit the consultation fee.
- Same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable.
- Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested in advance.
Refunds & Returns
Refunds are governed by our Refunds & Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions.
In summary:
- Consultation fees, labour, and services rendered are non-refundable.
- Products supplied by us may be refundable only if unused, undamaged, and returned within 7 days, unless custom-ordered.
- Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days via the original payment method.
Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide accurate site information and access to the property
- Ensure electrical and structural access on installation day
- Obtain landlord or body corporate approval where required
- Inform us of any known hazards or special site conditions
Delays caused by lack of access or incorrect information may result in additional charges.
Installation & Workmanship
- All work is carried out in accordance with applicable South African electrical and safety standards.
- A Certificate of Compliance (CoC) is issued where required and included only if stated in the quote.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing electrical or structural faults.
Warranties
- Equipment warranties are provided by manufacturers, not by Mwelase iLanga Energy, unless otherwise stated.
- Workmanship warranties apply only to labour performed by us and under normal operating conditions.
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third-party interference is excluded.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
- Our liability is limited to the value of the service provided.
- We are not responsible for loss of income, production, or savings due to system downtime.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, power outages, supply shortages, or acts of God.
Disputes & Chargebacks
- Clients agree to contact us directly to resolve disputes before initiating chargebacks.
- Any chargebacks or disputes raised may be contested using proof of service delivery, booking records, and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
- Abuse of the chargeback process may result in refusal of future services.
Privacy
Client information is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and is used solely for service delivery, billing, and communication purposes.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
